Description
Ph Minus – Packaged by Suds Online
The effectiveness of all chlorine based sanitisers decreases as
the pH level of the water increases.
Suds Online pH minus reducer can be added
directly to the swimming pool/ spa / hot tub water to reduce the pH to a desirable level.
For the chlorine to remain effective, the pH level should be kept
below 7.6. However if the pH level drops too low then the water
can start to degrade pumps and liners, so aim to keep the pH level
between 7.2 and 7.6.
pH reducer is suitable for use in swimming pools, spas and hot tubs.
Due to the weight of the pH reducer a 1kg tub is only half filled and
a small hole is made in the lid to allow the pressure to escape.
Swimming Pools
Add 45g per 1,000l of pool water. Add required amount to a bucket of warm water and carefully distribute around the pool.
Spa and Hot Tub
Add 10g (2 teaspoons) to 1 litre bucket of warm water and carefully add the resulting solution to the spa whilst the pumps are turned on.
Aim for a pH level of between 7.2 – 7.6. Re-check after 30 minutes and repeat as necessary.
If you are unable to maintain an appropriate pH level in your spa, the most likely cause is that the the alkalinity level is too low. Always correct the the alkalinity balance before you attempt to balance the pH.
